When the supermodels of your youth have kids walking the runways in New York and Paris. Kristen McManemy, the alternative Grande-Dame of the of early nineties fashion started have kids early with her daughter Lily McManemy born in 1985. While Lily has been on the runway for a couple of years now she’s the new wave that’s wakening the eyes of old-school fashion devotees. How about Cindy Crawfords daughter Kaia Gruber who 11 landed a national campaign. Or llona Halladay who beat her mother Estelle Halladay by one year for her first Elle Cover at the age of 18. Amber Rose LeBon (Daughter of supermodel Yasmin LeBon) is an old pro on the runway making her runway debut in a Chanel show when she was 2 years old. She’s still working the Chanel runway 22 years later.

I was watching this latest episode of ModTV today and got the treat of seeing Lily McManemy talk about her pal Marc Jacobs recent collection. What the moral of this story, getting old goes fast. We grow up so fast, the next thing you know, your kids are growing up even faster. I am sure all of the supermodels are scratching their heads and saying, “Where did the time go?”
