Chelsea on Fire and Back In Your Face

Following the success of her first Netflix series “Chelsea Does”, which is a brilliant show on it own. Chelsea Handler brings back her talk show but on the Netflix network. Giving us a more raw Chelsea, no commercials and now she can say or do anything she wants. Five episodes in and I am already hooked it. Lately the only talk show that I’ve been “IN TOO” has mainly been Bill Maher’s show on HBO. I’ve been watching Chelsea’s show off and on over the past 4 years and have grown to love her brash and no bullshit attitude. She takes on topics that are of course taboo.

She’s had mostly friends on the show but what I really enjoy are all the little mini ski episodes inside each episode. A lot of these little skits were shot while she was filming her Chelsea Does episodes. Like the episode in Russia where Chelsea took a moment out to shoot herself learning to ice skate. I am still trying to figure out what the heck Gwen Stafani did to her face and I am little confused about the whole discussion about Faith. Another great episode is the one where Chelsea hosted the cast the new Captain America movie for dinner at her house.  Extremely memorable and toxic at the same time.

On a side note, Netflix really got it all wrong with their new show Lady Dynamite. It’s great that they got so many talented and wonderful female comedians. The story line and exception is painful to watch.
