The Releasing of Names: Boys First to Go
So it’s time to release those names out into the universe. We’ve settled on the boy name and no we aren’t going to be sharing it with anyone. Well except for the a few key people who shall remain nameless. So don’t ask because you won’t find out. And if you know, please keep it secret, we want to share it to the world upon their arrival.
For the first big release of names I’ve chosen to do the boys names that made the list but were the first to be lopped off. Some Clem complained were to french and others he didn’t feel were a real name. For me the common complaint was the name is “to common”. I know that sounds pretentious but keep in my mind my “no top 1000 names” rule. Such names as Field, Darre, Harrison and Kersdale were family names found in our ancestry. One of Clem’s top names from Paley’s name selection made this list, Phinnaeus but I took it off due to the cartoon by the same name. None of these names really jumped out at me.

(funny thing, while retrieving images for the names on this post, when I entered Harrison Holmes, I got a lot of mug shots, maybe that’s a new to do when picking out your kids name, check google and google image first to see the top items, for example Darre is the last name of a famous SS Nazi, oops! - good thing they got lopped.)
