Paley: Our Minnie!

For the past 3 months Paley has been rehearsing a musical (play) about nursery rhymes. She was casted as Minnie Mouse. Originally I wrote a post before the performances of the musical and my opinion was tainted by the lack of organization and the story behind some of the songs. I might also add the CD they gave the kids with the director singing the songs, was like listening to nails on  a chalk board.

I deleted that 3 paragraph post because my opinion has changed. In all that madness came something funny, full of smiles and making me proud of Paley. She did amazing, even when she used her bow as play toy or was digging for gold during the first performance. Clem attended the first nights performance while stayed at home with the babes. The next night, Mimi and I attended the last two performances. We all thought the kids would melt by the end of the last performance but they had soldiered on. I believe sugar had something to do with energy spike towards the end. 

A little hip action…….

Paley had a blast doing the play. She really blossomed along with one of her best pals from the class. So much so they have asked to do it again in the Spring. The next show is about the Big Bad Wolf on Trial. Not sure how that’s going to be a musical, should be interesting. I just hope there is no song talking about how much they hate something. The Fall musical had a numbered called “I Hate Boys”. So a big hug for Paley and her great performance. I’ve ordered the DVD and will post little snippets of her in action.
