Releasing of Names: Fletch Lived For a Brief Moment

sumndracofletch.jpg

In this round of names, we come across some more mainstream unique names which are catching on more and more. With names like Peyton, Mason, Spencer and Jasper, the “no top 1000” names reason was dominate. Woodjiah is a name Clem found in my family tree, sadly I took it off. Other ancestry names were Bartlett and Ford, which were both from my side. Samual is the name of Clem’s Maternal Great Grandfather but was taken off because it was to biblical and we didn’t like the nickname Sam. Buckley was a play off of Paley although Clem didn’t like it because he’s not a huge fan of William F. Buckley. I did it because I always thought Pat Buckley was such a chic woman. Newland, Marlow and Merrill were a few last names I liked as a first name. Merrill I took from Dina Merrill who is a favorite actress of mine. Drake was a name Clem drummed up after watching Harry Potter, a play on the name Draco.  Gwynne was taken from the actor Fred Gwynne. Sumner was a long time favorite throughout the process and last almost to the end. Sadly Clem didn’t share the same love, he felt it reminded him of Sumner Redstone. Clem on the other hand took a liking to Fletcher and Jasper. I took Jasper off because it was to close to Casper and well Fletch is just to goofy, although we love the movie, well maybe not the sequel.
