What to Watch: The Residence & Prime Target

One and done with this post. Netflix and Apple release two great mystery shows and then killed it right in it’s prime, no pun intended. Uzo Aduba starts as the gifted sleuth Cordelia Cupp, who is summoned to the White House to solve a murders. The show is medley of gifts talents, both in acting and even singer world, with Kylie Minogue dancing her way through several episodes and just showing, her turn on The Vicar of Dibley was not a fluke. There was rumblings in the Spring of 2025, that show was possibly getting it’s second season, and the destination was going to be Buckingham Palace. While the show sailed away from it’s second season, this show is a must watch, even for one season.

While Buckingham has been secure for the 6th season of Only Murders in the Building. You can still saunter over to the UK with Apple’s Prime Target. The show centers on a mathematician who has cracked a common code, and the worlds governments target the young student in a hunt over the centuries of mathematical theories. While the other series is filled with heavy hitter actors, this series is filled with fresh talent. From the brooding mystery of Leo Woodall main character to the agent you just want to see in action over and over, Quintessa Swindell, who appeared in Black Adam. The hidden gift was to see acting GOAT, Martha Plimpton, who presents a roller coaster ride through this tale of deceptions.

While both seasons are in the dark right now of whether a second season will grace the screens. The tales are entertaining, while you might want more. You are happy to have just to experience the story and talent. You will find yourself falling in love with certain characters and tickled by the hunt that is unfolding. It’s too bad The Residence is officially dead in the water. There has been no official cancellation announced by Apple for Prime Target.
